Jacek Fiutowski is an Associate Professor in Nano-Optics and Advanced Imaging Technologies (SDU). He holds a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Engineering Physics. Jacek works primarily in nanophotonics, optical sensing, and advanced microscopy, including electron and ion-beam imaging and hyperspectral techniques. Since joining SDU, he has led multiple interdisciplinary research projects at the intersection of materials science, environmental sensing, and biomedical diagnostics. His work has been supported by major national and international programmes, including Interreg, the Danish Foundation for Basic Research, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the Danfoss Foundations. He has been involved in developing SDU’s advanced microscopy and chemical imaging infrastructure. He also operates his own hyperspectral imaging infrastructure, funded by the Danfoss Foundation, to support research and education.
