Anna Charlotte Epple

Anna Charlotte Epple is a doctoral student at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense), working under the supervision of Réka Forrai and Lars Boje Mortensen. She is based at the Faculty of Humanities at SDU. She holds an MA in Medieval Studies and Scandinavian Literatures and Cultures from the University of Cologne. Her main research interests include people’s engagement with books from the late medieval period onward. Her research project – A forgotten heritage: fragments at SDU and classical tradition in the Nordic countries – investigates the medieval manuscript fragments at SDU, considering the life cycles of books and texts and looking at how material conditions of transmission shape our present-day perceptions of classical and medieval literature.
