Giacomo Marchioro

Giacomo Marchioro is an IT research and support specialist at the University of Verona. He holds a Master’s degree in chemistry applied to cultural heritage from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a PhD in applied physics from the University of Verona. He has been working on the diagnostic and digitalization of artworks in particular using multi-spectral imaging, surface metrology and optical spectroscopy. He also collaborates with international consortia in particular with the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) to develop tools designed to facilitate the acquisition and management of cultural heritage data.
