Paolo De Paolis

Paolo De Paolis is a classicist with interests in the ancient and medieval reception and transmission of Roman literature as well as in Latin paleography. After graduating in Classical Philology at Sapienza University (Rome), he taught Latin Literature and Classical Philology at the University of Cassino, where he also held a string of management positions. He is currently Full Professor of Latin Language and Literature at the University of Verona. His research interests are mainly focused on late antique and early medieval grammatical works and their role in the transmission of ancient Roman literature; on the history of ancient linguistics; on teaching in ancient and medieval schools. He coordinates a project for a catalogue of Latin grammatical manuscripts produced during the 9th century CE.
