Paolo Scattolin is a classicist with a training in paleography. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Parma, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Verona where he later became an Assistant Professor. He is currently Associate Professor in Greek Language and Literature at the University of Verona. He spent research and teaching periods at the Complutense University of Madrid; the University of Oxford; the University of Leiden, Netherlands. His research focuses on (a) the manuscript tradition of the Attic dramatists; (b) the indirect tradition of classical authors; (c) the exegetical tradition that developed between the Ptolemaic age and the Renaissance; (d) Greek lexicography and metre.
